I have always liked this time of year, as it reminds me of going back to school, getting new clothes and school supplies, meeting new teachers, making new friends.
And I still really love learning. The state requires 24 hrs. of continuing education every two years for massage practitioners. Ok, that’s not very many. My professional association (AMTA, the leading organization) requires 48. I completed 148 hrs. over the past two years and wish I had the time and money for more. I am always excited to pore over all the options for classes that come in the mail or search out cool stuff online. I am interested in finding ways to serve my clients better, and deepen my own body awareness. I continue to explore new areas and skills, as well as do my own inner work. My clients have also inspired me by letting me know about things they are interested in–I learn a lot from our work together and our discussions. I’ll keep you posted on what I’m learning!
